Volunteers are needed to take down, clean and disinfect the Purple Martin colony housing and move the housing into the Audubon Center for winter storage.
Volunteers under 18 must have a parent/guardian accompany them.
Please park in the Anderson Building Courthouse parking area and meet in the Venice Audubon Center driveway. Wear clothing and shoes that can get wet, and bring water, sun protection and bug spray as needed.
Registration is not necessary but appreciated.
In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Saturday, July 26.

Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter, by Ben Goldfarb, takes us into the world of Nature's ingenious architects learn how they both shaped our world and the role they take to help repair and preserve it. Hunted and misplaced by humans, beavers are now a sign of ecosystem resilience and health.
