A good place to see a variety of birds including woodpeckers, warblers, vireos and other birds. The preserve is a mix of tall trees and scrub habitat. With luck we may see scrub jays which are present in the preserve. The preserve is split into three parts. We will see two of the parts. Part #2 has an active eagles nest. About 2.5 miles walking over sandy trails. No bathroom present at the preserve. Meet at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot, 6200 Osprey Road, Venice.
