Tues, Dec 13 - Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve: This 80-acre preserve, previously a golf course property, now features woods and hills, wetlands and open water, both fresh and salt. As a result, it has a wide variety of bird species of all kinds. The property is not generally opened to the public, so this will be a special treat. Meet at 8 a.m. at the parking lot at 6000 Gasparilla Pines Blvd, just east of Placida Rd, Englewood.
