Dr. Terry L. Root is Senior Fellow (University Faculty) Emerita in Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University. Her research addressed how plants and animals are changing with the changing climate. She was a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change 4th Assessment Report that in 2007 was co-awarded the Nobel Peace Prize with Vice President Al Gore.

When: The social period begins at 6 p.m. followed by the general meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the program at around 7:10 p.m.
(Please note: VAAS programs will be held on the 2nd Tuesday in December and 1st Tuesday in May only.)
