Birds of the Iberian Peninsula: Portugal and Spain

Join Barry Rossheim, Zoology teacher at Venice High School, as he shares his adventures from a June 2017 birding tour to Portugal and Spain led by expert guide João Jara, owner of Birds & Nature. Participants enjoyed delicious food and wine and stayed at fantastic accommodations for bargain prices. After the birding tour, the adventure continued to the Rock of Gibraltar to see the legendary Barbary Apes. Barry will share his birding adventures and photos from the Iberian Peninsula, the best place to bird in Europe.

When: The social period begins at 6 p.m. and the general meeting and program follow at 6:30 p.m.
(Please note: VAAS programs will be held on the 2nd Tuesday in December and 1st Tuesday in May only.)
