Native Plants for a Bird-Friendly Community and Annual Meeting

ANNUAL MEETING: An election of VAAS officers will take place during the general portion of this meeting, before the program.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: One of the best ways to help birds thrive is to make sure landscapes feature locally native plants, which brim with nutritious insects, berries, nectar and seeds to give birds vital food and refuge. Join well-known local plant and wildlife specialist Bill Dunson as he shares his expertise about local bird-friendly native plants and Audubon’s national program to create bird-friendly communities.

When: The social period begins at 6 p.m. and the general meeting and program follow at 6:30 p.m.
(Please note: VAAS programs are held on the 2nd Tuesday in December and May only.)
Where: Venice Audubon Center at Annex Road behind the R. L. Anderson Administration Building, Venice, FL
