The South Venice Civic Association (SVCA) Waterway Restoration Project

This is a collaborative effort between the SVCA and Sarasota County to improve the biological conditions in the water and along the banks of two waterways (Siesta and Briarwood ditches in the South Venice area of Sarasota County), to protect Alligator Creek, which constitutes a large portion of the upper Lemon Bay watershed. Join Harrison Fox and Laraine (Lara) Jansen as they share their involvement with this project. Their goal is to eventually restore all the waterways and lakes in South Venice.

When: The social period begins at 6 p.m. and the general meeting and program follow at 6:30 p.m.
(Please note: VAAS programs will be held on the 2nd Tuesday in December and 1st Tuesday in May only.)
Where: Venice Audubon Center at Annex Road behind the R. L. Anderson Administration Building, Venice, FL
